Accessibility
BetterAlaminosCity.org aims to be usable by everyone, including residents using assistive technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility, not a one-time checklist.
Our Target
We design this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This is a target we build toward, not a certified or independently audited conformance claim — no formal accessibility audit of this site has been conducted yet.
Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AAWhat We Build For
Semantic HTML headings and landmarks throughout the site · ARIA labels on interactive controls like the navigation menu and language switcher · a responsive layout that works from mobile screens up to desktop · full bilingual support in English and Filipino, so residents can read content in whichever language they're more comfortable with.
Known Limitations
Some linked source documents — such as the Citizen's Charter PDF and scanned ordinances/resolutions — are published by the city government in formats that may not be fully accessible to screen readers; we can't modify documents we don't originate. Some pages are still being verified against official sources and may contain incomplete content.
Feedback
If you run into an accessibility barrier anywhere on this site, please let us know by opening an issue describing the page and the problem you encountered.
